Weight Loss Program- Which Program Is Really Worth It?

Many of my friends use a specific weight loss program to help keep them in shape. Each one of them uses a different program - trying techniques and foods that work for them specifically (after a long process of trying other weight loss programs that were simply scams or fads and did not achieve any long term weight loss for them.)

In this respect, how do you know that the weight loss program that YOU invest in will actually make a difference?
Well, it is my firm belief from both trial and experience, that it is not just the foods that you eat or the exercise plan you follow contained in the weight loss program that gets you the body you want but rather something much deeper. As someone who has a working knowledge of NLP, (the mechanics of the mind) I know that we all have deeply ingrained habits and patterns that we subconsciously use to make choices and which aids the direction that we take in life.
Some of these patterns are associated with food and the way we habitually eat and because of this - we find it difficult to sustain any measurable results because our new diet contradicts the beliefs we have always had about food. We try a diet or a weight loss system only to slip back into emotional eating... we get de-motivated, we think negative thoughts about our body and therefore render the weight loss program useless or at least very short term.

On this note, the only way to get a weight loss program to work for you is to pick one that promises to change not only your diet but also show you ways to re-frame the habits that govern your current lifestyle. In other words - from the inside out. If your beliefs about weight loss were truly changed within your subconscious mind, losing weight would be effortless. Your mind and body would be in harmony and your thoughts would not make it difficult for you to stick to your diet program. In fact, your new and positive thoughts and habits would serve to enhance whatever regime you picked in order to achieve full and lasting weight loss.

I cannot stress enough how difficult it is to achieve weight loss with any program without first getting your brain - the ultimate program - to work with you during the process. I think I speak for everyone who has tried to keep weight off (and relapsed into their old way of living within a short time) when I say - it's not the program that's hard to follow, it's your desire and negative body image that keeps you stuck. Not many people realise that it is the mind achieving your weight loss goals not the body. The body is just following a set of conscious and subconscious demands.

Ensure that the weight loss program you choose understands this mind-body link and will help you achieve your goals in both areas equally or else you will harm your success rate. It is a waste of money to invest in a diet alone - if it was that easy, every one would be their perfect size and shape.

  4. First, what a great article! Second, the weight loss diet program that I've followed is called Ideal Protein.
    It's a diet based only on healthy foods, without too much fat or sugar... aspect that I think it's very important if we want to have some really great results and getting rid of the extra pounds!
